Newby: Sitemap error message due to file names with spaces. Rename even if they are indexed??

How often Resubmit sitemap? Will new sitemap fix errors? 
  Hi: This is my first site, so I don't know much. I submitted a sitemap when I signed up for webmaster tools. Indexed URLs in Sitemap 0 
  How come no URLs from my site map are included in Google's Index? My web site was using noindex/nofollow for a few days while setting it up. Now it's out of dev status and I've uploaded a site map but it won't display my pages. Help!

Errors in Sitemap (0) Http errors (0) Not Found (40) - NO URLS LISTED FOR NOT FOUND 
  The site once had over 300 Indexed pages to my site from Google. The site had some pretty strong links coming in, I made the mistake of 'redesigning' the site for easier use. video site map entries not showing up in google video 
  I have a video site and I have submitted both standard and video sitemaps ( [link] ) to google. They are UTF encoded and are reported indexed with no errors. xml.gz verses just the xml sitemap 
  My site host generates both the google_sitemap.xml and google_sitemap.xml. Does it matter which one I use or is one better than the other? I noticed that the xml.gz is not able to be viewed or changed.. My site is d-rust-it.com best regards
