Welcome to the new Sitemapspal members area.

Inside the members are you will find basically the same functionality script that appears for free on the main homepage except you can also create Yahoo sitemaps. You will also find a whole host of new tools and management systems to keep all you sitemaps together, updated, organised and even uploaded to your server.

The test account has a few limitations in comparison with the full members area but it does give a good idea of the tools and the functionality of the members area before you choose to pay to become a member.� The only features that are disabled are the Account Update page and the FTP to remote server function.

Of course a HTML sitemap is a necessity on a modern day website, not only can it help users find what they are looking for but it allows an easy route for search engines to spider every page that is listed, though sitemapspal does not yet make sitemaps in this format, you can submit your html and have all the links extracted into a TX or XML file.

A TXT sitemap is simply a list of all the accesible urls or pages that are available on your site.� You can invite serch engines such as Yahoo to come and visit all the pages listed by submitting it to the Yahoo sitemaps program.

A XML sitemap is probably one of the most important sitemaps to have as it is used by Google, the world largest search engine, to help find pages within your site.� You can create a Google sitemap account here and submit your sitemap as soon as you have created and uploaded you file using SitemapsPal.

Its an ongoing struggle getting your website listed and kept updated in search engine listings like that of google and yahoo, the problem is especially prevalent if you have a site with many different levels as search engines will often stop spidering your site before it has encountered the deepest layers of your site.� This will leave you with less pages that are in the index and thus less visitors will be able to find your site.

Sitemaps are a way of alleviating this problem by allowing you to tell search engines where your pages are and with google sitemaps, tell them when the page was last updated and how important the page is in comparison with the rest of the pages in your website.

The Google Sitemap Protocol will allow you to inform Google about any new and existing URL’s on your site that are available for crawling. The Sitemap Protocol is essentially an XML file that lists the URL’s for a site and a few other bits of information relating to the url itself. This list can accommodate sites of virtually any size (<50,000URL’s and� <10MB) and is submitted directly to Google through their sitemaps interface here.� Sitemapspal can however also offer you your sitemap in Yahoo format, so you can submit your sitemap to the Yahoo sitemap program as well.
