Egypt remained neutral during the 2026 Iran war, a regional conflict involving Israel, the United States and Iran, as well as allied non-state actors on both side.[1] However, it suffered collateral damage after a suspected drone attack struck Egypt in its territory. The missiles caused a fire at the Egyptian Mediterranean port of Damietta.[2]
