Thaïs Defoort has been selected to represent Belgium at Eurovision Young Musicians 2022 in Montpellier.
RTBF has selected Thaïs Defoort to represent Belgium this summer at Eurovision Young Musicians 2022. A six-person final was held yesterday at Studio 1 in Flagey, where a jury selected the Belgian representative. The 18-year-old cellist was selected by a jury formed of:
- Marie Hallynck, Professor of cello at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels
- Simon Diricq, Professor of saxophone at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel
- André Foulon, Honorary Director of Arts²/ Royal Conservatory of Mons
- Romain Dhainaut, Responsible for Concerts and on-air events Musiq3.

Eurovision Young Musicians 2022
Radio France will host the contest in Montpellier as part of Festival de musique Radio France Occitanie Montpellier and is co-operating with France Télévisions on producing the contest. Eurovision Young Musicians 2022 will be held on July 23.
